Organization
http://www.perinatal.org/image/california_perinatal_dispatch_center_space.gifOCRPP is one of the twelve Regional Perinatal Programs of California (RPPC) and is based at the
Maternal  Outreach  Management  System  (MOMS). Each RPPC received Title V funding and
operates in accordance with the provisions of the federal Title V Maternal and Child Health (MCH) block
grant to States and the Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health Program, Center for Family Health,
California Department of Public Health guidelines. RPPC activities assist in assuring that pregnant women
and newborns have access to appropriate levels of care. Two specialty groups under the OCRPP umbrella
are the OCPC and the Birth and Beyond Breastfeeding Project. OCPC is the community advisory council
and is comprised of community agencies and perinatal health care providers. OCPC's mission is to improve
perinatal care and birth outcomes through education, communication and community involvement. The Birth
and Beyond Project promotes exclusive breastfeeding through professional education.
